报告主题：Narrative Analysis and Megaproject Leadership
报告人：Shankar Sankaran 教授
The presentation is based on findings from research conducted for a book being published in 2021 edited by Professors Nathalie Drouin (KHEOPS Canada), Shankar Sankaran (UTS Australia), Alfons Marrewijk (Vrije University, The Netherlands and Ralf Müller of BI Norwegian Business School).
The lecture will also include an introduction to Narrative Analysis based on a lecture delivered by Professor Sankaran to Masters students at a Master of Project Management Course wanting to do doctoral research. While narrative analysis has been used in organization studies it is only started being used in project management research.
The book Megaproject Leaders brings together 18 prominent academics who interviewed 16 great megaproject leaders originating from 10 different countries. Based on a reflective methodological approach, these chapters investigate the managing of megaprojects from a human perspective, identify new trends in the managing of megaprojects and identify lessons learned from the personal views of the interviewees. The novel ideas presented will appeal to academics, practitioners and university students. The book also includes a chapter contributed by academics at DUT.
Professor Shankar Sankaran is a Professor of Organizational Project Management and a member of the megaproject Research Team at the University of Technology Sydney in Australia. He has published book chapters and papers related to megaprojects research in project management journals and the Oxford Handbook of Megaproject Management.
