报告内容和摘要:

In this talk I will introduce students to some of the contemporary approaches to doing qualitative research, beginning with the philosophical underpinnings, the underlying assumptions, the relevant research design and the specific data collection and analysis approaches. This talk will also draw from my own experiences as a seasoned researcher, in particular some of my recent work on talent management. I will motivate the students to challenge themselves, and to ask the difficult questions that must be asked in order to deliver high-quality outputs.

报告人简介:

Professor Ken Kamoche is Professor of Human Resource Management and Organization Studies at the University of Nottingham where he also directs the Africa Research Group. He obtained his DPhil in management at the University of Oxford. He has previously worked at the University of Birmingham, City University of Hong Kong and Nottingham Trent University. He has published extensively in high-impact journals such as Human Relations, Organization Studies, the Journal of Management Studies, and the International Journal of HRM, and has authored/co-edited 5 books.
